He's dead. He exploded into darkness I think. Eragon put a protective shield spell to protect everyone else in the room so yey hes dead

He didn’t explode into darkness. The reason why it became dark was because Eragon’s protective spell was shielding them from the blinding light of, quite literally, a nuclear detonation happening only a few yards away.

Kinda don't feel like he died..I feel like he used a transportation spell on himself to send him somewhere else like how Ergon got his egg. Keep in mind although they said Arya found the Eldynari, it couldnt been the ones he (the King) was using cause they wasn't on him or at least near him.. Bast had his in his armor, Ergon kept his in a pocket of space behind him and even Murtagh gave his up indicating he had them on him. I have more thoughts on this matter and others in 2019 is this still a active topic?

It’s an inactive topic, but this is a slow forum so not a big deal.

Regarding finding Galbatorix’s Eldunarí; they don’t have to be that close. Remember that the Eldunarí on Vroengard could influence the world from across an ocean, and there were even fewer of them than Galbatorix had. With that many Eldunarí, Galbatorix just needed to be in the same building in order to use them.

As for him teleporting away, the explosion that occurs when objects are sent with magic is always exactly the same regardless of distance, and it is far weaker than the nuclear conflagration that occurred in Galbatorix’s throne room. The words he used, “be not,” seemed blindingly obvious as a suicide spell, especially considering the presence of the exact same radiation that was present on Vroengard. It was the same suicide spell used, which can only be pulled off by converting your own matter to energy thus killing yourself. He’s gone.
