I just thought of another way to beat Galbatorix aside from showing him the wrongness of his actions. What if one could strip him of his ability to use magic?
Maybe, maybe not. Its my theory and idea though. I can see that neither of us is going to convince the other. But a discussion is not about convincing others. Its about sharing ideas. But the empathy spell can't be the only way to defeat Galbatorix. Also Murtagh stripped Galbatorix of much of his wards, though Galbatorix had a few left paolini.net/2015/12/09/encyclopedia-alagaesia-galbatorix
Anyone have any other ideas to defeat him aside from the empathy spell? I've made my suggestion.
Strip him of his ability to sleep, eldunarí can't cure sleepiness. He would eventually run out of energy and die
How would you accomplish this?
Niat slytha(not sleep). Cast it while in the mind of some of his servants, eldunarí, thorn & murtagh, etc.
Or Slytha Niat.
Couldn't you couple that with the name of the ancient language (i kinda wish theyd tell us what it is) and some other stuff to make it just ignore his wards?
You’d have to know the name of the Ancient Language first, without it you pretty much couldn’t go through his wards to cast such a sleep-not spell, his Eldunarí-fueled wards would slap it down, & they didn’t know the name by the time Galbatorix was confronted.
Plus, if you can bull through his wards to make him not sleep, then you might as well just cast a death word at him & cut the pretense.
How would you phrase wards to ward off non-sleeping? Even if he did figure it out, all of Eragon's mentors told him that Galbatorix was mad and surely overlooked some things, so...
“How would you phrase wards to ward off non-sleeping?”
Simple, don’t allow anyone but you to cast a spell upon yourself. Galbatorix did it with his true name, & left a nasty curse to backfire on anyone who tried it (which was successful every single time), & Eragon himself used to have wards that prevented people from casting spells upon him without his permission.
What do you think?
