A Taste of Teirm

A Taste of Teirm is the 24^th chapter of Eragon. It takes the point of view of Eragon.

Summary

Eragon and Brom enter the city of Teirm, which is heavily guarded. They use the different names to disguise themselves. Evan as Eragon and Neal as Brom. They go to a tavern called the Green Chestnut, and ask where Jeod lives. The owner, Gareth, doesn't answer and asks for money, but a good-natured man named Martin stops them from giving money, barks at Gareth, and gives an answer to Brom. He says that Jeod, Brom's old friend, lives next to Angela the herbalist. According to Martin, Jeod has lost a lot of money from pirates raiding his ships.
