A Twin Disaster is the 1st chapter of Eldest. It takes the point of view of Eragon.
Summary[]
This chapter features the death of Ajihad, the leader of the Varden, and the disappearance of the Twins and Murtagh, starting the book on a tragic note. Arya finds Murtagh's clothes in the underground tunnels of Tronjheim and Eragon scrys Murtagh, but only sees darkness. Both of these events appear to confirm the death of Murtagh and suggest that the Twins must have died, too.

This chapter is at the end of certain editions of Eragon as a preview of Eldest.
Chapter title meaning[]
There is a pun in this chapter title. Since it is the Twins who are responsible for the Urgal ambush, they created the disaster. Thus, a "Twin" Disaster.
