Admonishments is the 19th chapter of Eragon. It takes the point of view of Eragon.

Summary[]

Eragon wakes up after fighting the Urgals in Yazuac. Brom tells him that in the fight, he must have used magic. Brom explains that brisingr is from an ancient language spoken by the elves, and it is impossible to lie in this language. Saphira realizes that Brom must be a magician or sorcerer. Eragon asks Brom if that's what he used to light the fire on the plains and Brom confirmed that it was. When Eragon asks more, Brom says that they have talked enough about magic for the day.
