Alin is a female resident of the village of Nal Gorgoth. She is an acolyte of the witch-woman Bachel and one of the temple-chosen.
As one of the temple-chosen, she wears white robes to symbolise her purity. At Bachel's decree, no man is permitted to touch her for fear of losing their 'sinful' hand and likewise she cannot touch men.
She is very respectful towards Murtagh, calling "Kingkiller". Towards Thorn, she reverently him 'splendid' and counts herself fortunate to be in his presence.
