Atten the Red was a human male and earl of the Broddring Empire. A minor aristocrat that governed a region that neighbored the city of Aroughs, Atten would be credited in the Imperial court of Galbatorix for being responsible for the creation of Attenwrack, a form of poetry that would be the basis behind most of the balladry spoken in Galbatorix's cabal of nobles.
