Beirland Island was the largest of five islands in an archipelago off of the Alagaësian coast and the only one known to have a town, Eoam. At a certain point in Eoam resides a piece of "wild" magic: a floating crystal referred to as the Floating Crystal of Eoam. Nía Island was adjacent to Beirland and between them, there was the Boar's Eye whirlpool a few miles in diameter. Other islands in this archipelago included: Uden Island, Parlim Island, as well as Illium Island. Beirland's name is similar to Beleriand, the main region of Middle-Earth during the First Age of Tolkien's legendarium.
