Bladesinger is a mysterious wandering woman with scars on her wrists, always seen traveling with a young teenage girl, possibly her daughter. They refuse to give their True names as they have power, so they are only known by the monikers "Bladesinger" (by Angela) and "Wolf-Eyes" (by Saphira). They are first seen being given their fortunes by Angela, who says that the “the drop spindle of fate” was present with them. She asks Eragon to bless them, calling them "pilgrims on their own quest", but refuses to elaborate any further. After Eragon blesses them, Saphira then breathes on the faces of the two women and wishes them "good hunting".[1]
During the Battle of Urû'baen, she saves Roran from a group of soldiers by killing them. She doesn't give him her name, only stating that she was a passing stranger, before she and her companions (beside the teenage girl is now a boy slightly younger than her) left, fighting off enemy soldiers as they went.[2]
