Du Súndavar Freohr is the 40th chapter of Eragon. It takes the point of view of Eragon.
Summary[]
Eragon was in captivity in Gil'ead. He saw a Shade (later revealed to be Durza) and the woman he dreamed about (later revealed to be named Arya). The woman turned out to be an elf who was also imprisoned in the fortress. Durza entered Eragon's cell and asked him his true name, and Eragon told him that it was "Du Súndavar Freohr" which means "death of the shadows" in the Ancient Language.
