Edurna was an elf from Ceris. Edurna was friends with Lifaen, Narí, and Celdin. Edurna told Arya that it was good that she had returned, as Queen Islanzadí was sick at heart about what had happened to her. One of the elves chided Edurna to hush, as "Dvergar are small, but they have sharp ears."
Edurna briefly served as a guard for Eragon and Saphira, then, at Arya's request, remained with Celdin at a riverbank in order to guard the way so that none would follow. Arya promised to send reinforcements once she reached Sílthrim.
