Flight of Destiny is the 10th chapter of Eragon. It takes the view of Eragon.
Summary[]
Eragon rushes home from Carvahall to Palancar Valley, in a desperate attempt to save his uncle Garrow. Upon coming home however, he meets up with Saphira, and he tells her of the strangers. Frightened, she flies Eragon into the Spine, and his legs are injured in the process. He yells at Saphira for it, and she regrets his pain, but not her actions.
She then shelters Eragon for the night, with Eragon only thinking "What have I done?" before sleeping for the night.
