Furnost was a minor town in Alagaësia. It was located directly north of Tüdosten Lake. King Thedric secretly met with the dwarf Ivaldn here before the War of Iron.[1] The Varden member Hefring, who stole Saphira's egg from Galbatorix came from here. Furnost was one of the lands that Nasuada gave to King Orrin as part of their agreement.
The name may be inspired by Fornost, a town in Tolkien's legendarium.
