Summary[]

Eragon has been cured of his scar during the Blood-Oath Celebration. He follows Arya into a beautiful, moonlit clearing and confesses his feelings for her anew. She lets him down gently, saying that the age difference is too great, before departing. Eragon leaves, sobbing, to be comforted by Saphira.
