Summary[]
Eragon has been cured of his scar during the Blood-Oath Celebration. He follows Arya into a beautiful, moonlit clearing and confesses his feelings for her anew. She once again rebuffs him, though less aggressively than before, saying that the age difference is too great, then ending their friendship (though temporarily) and departing. Eragon leaves, sobbing, to be comforted by Saphira.
