Rahna was the mother Urgal goddess who, according to legend, raised the Urgals while fleeing a great dragon in the Beor Mountains. She was also known as "She of the Gilded Horns", the "Honored Mother", and "mother of us all". She is considered to be the inventor of weaving and farming. She was involved in the story of Hegraz and Maghara.
The Tale of Rahna and Maghara[]
One day, young female Urgal Maghara came to Rahna. Maghara had shiny horns, and a pleasant laugh. But that wasn't enough for her. Maghara explained Rahna her problems; she was in love with a man Urgal who wouldn't want her because she was ugly. So Rahna decided to give her beauty, and Maghara thanked her, saying that in exchange, she would give the goddess anything.
Maghara walked away from the mountain, walking happily away with her new beauty. The Urgal she loved agreed to marry her, and both had children. When the children were fully grown, Rahna came back to Maghara, and reminded her of the oath she had made. Maghara replied that she had not forgotten. So Rahna asked for Maghara's eldest son―Maghara was scared. The next day, she took a club from her husband's home, and tried to strike Rahna with it. But the club shattered to pieces the second it was going to it Rahna. The goddess, outraged, stripped Maghara's beauty from her, and took Maghara's eldest son.
