Spelling[]

Broddering Kingdom is spelt wrong. In the book Eldest it is spelt Broddring Kingdom on page 279. --Wyrda Ebrithil 16:34, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

I've now corrected the spellings. G.He(Talk!) 18:15, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

Regarding the map[]

Shouldn't Surda be included in this? They didn't break off until the Empire was formed. --Therequiembellishere 17:16, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

Shouldn't the Hadarac and Surda be included on the map? I have seen in Eragon that when the Riders lived, all the land beyond the desert was under one rule. And it was twice the size. --90.148.224.202 01:04, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
They're talking of the kingdom that we are currently reading; aka, the Empire. Galbatorix "inherited" the kingdom after he killed the king. Hence, this is the current kingdom we are seeing on the map. Surda isn't on there because they broke away. The Hadarac isn't on because Galbatorix "can't control anything that is out of his grasp". --ɢεйεʀɑ£-57 talk 02:05, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
No they're not. What they're talking about is the pre-Empire kingdom. Surda only broke away AFTER Galbatorix came to power (in fact, it is explicitly mentioned in Brisingr that the first forty years of Galbatorix's reign were spent by him subduing the Eldunari. During this inactivity, Surda broke away. If this is meant to represent the Empire, then the title should be "empire" and not Broddring kingdom. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Zmflavius (TalkContributionsLogs) . That's right, Surda separated from the Empire but was never part of Broddring Kingdom, afaik. --Weas-El talk | blog ) 07:32, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
