The Doom of Innocence is the 11^th chapter of Eragon. It takes the point of view of Eragon.

Summary[]

Eragon wakes in the Spine (in the clearing where Saphira's egg first appeared) and Saphira takes him back into Palancar Valley. Eragon is shocked to see that the farm is on fire and Garrow is dying. Saphira takes Eragon and Garrow toward Carvahall. Halfway there, Eragon sees Brom running towards him, and then becomes unconscious.
