As Eragon and Saphira flew above and behind the leading lines of the Varden as it clashed with the Imperial Army above The Burning Plains, Du Vrangr Gata alerted him to their discovery of the first enemy spellweaver. The instant he was alerted, Eragon reached out with his mind to the women who had made the discovery, and from there to the foe she grappled with, melding his power with the strength of the women and demolishing the man's resistance, took control of his' consciousness, determined which troops the man was protecting and slew the man with one of the Twelve Words of Death. Without pause, Eragon and the women located the minds of each of the now-unprotected soldiers and killed them as well.
