This individual was an Imperial Spellcaster based in Belatona who died during the Varden's attack on his city after Blödhgarm forced his to commit suicide via magical means.

As the Varden breached Belatona's wall, Lord Bradburn lost his nerve and ordered for the Dauthdaert Niernen to be brought from his royal armoury, intending to use it to kill or injure Saphira and entrusting the duty to a mounted rider, who the magician was ordered to assist via a mental connection, the magician positioning himself before a window high above the open entrance of the keep of Belatona. The attack failed, however and, moments before his death, the Dauthdaert-wielding rider had his mind invaded by Blödhgarm, who in turn reached into the magician's mind, wresting control of his body from him. Enraged by the attempt on a dragon's life, Blödhgarm forced the magician to commit suicide in a extravagant display. With a shriek of utter despair, the magician was subsequently killed in a self-made fiery explosion
